"Music and communication" was founded in 1981 and is John Denver's official Fan Club in Germany.

In our first club year already, 1981, we had our first little club meeting in November.
Since 1982, we have an annual "John Denver Weekend" - usually somewhere in the middle of Germany.
In 1996 then, we added the "getting-to-know-each-other-days", smaller, more local meeting which have been taking place since then.
A click on "Photos" in the menue and then "Clubmeetings" takes you to photo albums which are a result of those events.

John Denver Weekend
Our annual "big" club meeting will be held again in the Fall this year - the date is
October 17 - 19, 2025
During this three-day-event, which will take place for the 43rd time in 2025, we will spend the weekend together, enjoying a programme with a paper chase, a lottery, lots of sing alongs etc.
People from all over the world are welcome to join us - you don't need to speak German (just about all of us speak English, and if the person you would like to talk to does not, you will certainly find your personal interpreter.. ;-)) or be a member of our club - you only have to like John Denver's music.
The place for the Weekend will be the Jugendhaus Hardehausen again this year -- In case you are interested in joining us, please first of all contact our Weekend Team via weekend@johndenver.de about the registration procedure, we will fill you in then. Please do NOT contact the Jugendhaus directly....

Aspen in October 2012
As every year since 1998, the "John Denver Week" will take place again this October in Aspen -- lots of events in memory of John and his music, concerts, sing alongs, hikes, campfires...
The first dates and events between October 09 and 15 have been set now - many more will be added as time passes. Please note we are not the ones who organize those events - thus, we are only able to pass on the info we get... :-)

For questions, info and discussions about for example car pooling or sharing hotel rooms, a Yahoo-Group has been set up as well
We are, of course, happy to answer any questions we are able to answer via our contact form.
